If you ask my on any given day how much or why I love this city so, I will be at no loss for words, and you at regret for not not being able to make me silent. It’s moments like these though in July and August during the long swampy seemingly unbearable ‘heat waves’, where the all concrete seems to soak up the heat and spit it back out at you like a dragon’s fiery breath, where in places, the foul smell of seared garbage bites at your tongue, you stew in your own juices at the slightest move and the nights never ease. Its times like these that I simply need to relax at ease and watch a piece of the great history that is New York City and I am once again reminded of my undying love for her. Just bought this PBS series from Amazon. If you haven’t seen it watch the opening few minutes. Its incredible.
